How do I know whats a good price to offer.

  2. Most pricing is done by sizing the stones, their individual quality, (color and clarity) and then the carat weight. Retail markup of jewelry is as much as 500%. The gold chain is also valued by the scrap weight of the gold that it contains. 18K gold is only 75% gold, so weigh the chain, and subtract 25%, then check the days market price for gold, and do the math to find out how much the chain is worth. Depending on the size, color, clarity of the diamonds, and the weight of the chain, the value can be anywhere between $100 and up. A good rule of thumb — Anything used is only worth what someone else is willing to pay for it.
